| September 17, 2001 A Service of Installation of Officers was held in
the Klise Memorial Chapel of East Congregational United Church of Christ Participants were
organists Marilyn Ossentjuk, William Voetberg and Larry Biser, soprano Diane Triplett
Biser, the Reverend Brian C. Byrne of East Congregational Church and Dr. John D. Witvliet
of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. |

| October 15, 2001 A visit to St. Nicholas. We visited the beautiful
new facilities of the St.Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church. Father Daniel Daly gave an
interesting and informative presentatin on the history, theology, liturgy and music of
Eastern (Byzantine) worship, and Father Michael Carney, priest at St. Herman of Alaska
Orthoxdox (Russian tradition) led an eight voice unaccompanied vocal ensemble which
treated us to the music of the Eastern Church Tradition. |

| November 12, 2001 Central Reformed Church was our host for a Panel Discussion
on planning Worship Services. A panel of three pastor-musician teams told how
they work together as a team assembling the spoken and sung portions of the liturgy. After
this, comments and questions from the audience were presented and discussed. |

| January 21. 2002 Enhanced Musical Instruments for Spaces Other than the Main
Worship Center was the theme of this session in the Fellowship Hall of Calvin
Christian Reformed Church. Jeff Hall, of West Michigan Piano Company, demonstrated how the
Kawai Digital Ensemble (piano) might be used in activities in the church other than
worship. |

| February 18, 2002 Mayflower Congregational Church was the setting for "Peace
for Our Time", a hymn festival featuring Dr. Emily Brink, liturgist, Dennis
Buteyn, pianist, Jonathan Tuuk, organist, the Mayflower Choir, Mark Webb, director, and
other guest musicians. |

| March 18, 2002 We enjoyed an Organ Crawl in Holland visiting
organs from England , The Netherlands and the United States: the Pels & van Leeuwen
(Dutch) and the E. M. Skinner (United States) in Dimnent Chapel at Hope College, the
Harrison & Harrison (English) at First United Methodist Church, the J. W. Walker
(English) pictured here) in the organ studio at Hope College, and the Van Daalen (Dutch)
in the Mulder Chapel of Western Theological Seminary. |

| April 15, 2002 Dr. Hans Davidsson, of the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY,
held a Master Class at Trinity Lutheran Church. Playing for the class
were Susan DeKam and Heidi Dykema, both students at Hope College, Holland, Michigan. |

| May 20, 2002 Dr. Kent Hill and the Cheshire Brass Quintet presented an exciting
program of Music for Brass and Organ at Second Congregational United
Church of Christ. Included in the program was music of Gabrieli, Couperin, Strauss, and
Karg-Elert. |
